CDC Survey: Fewer Children Received Preventive Dental Care During Pandemic
DrBicuspid (12/7, Busch) reports that in 2020, “fewer children had dental exams or cleanings” than in 2019, according to results released on Dec. 3 from the CDC’s 2019-2020 National Health Interview Survey. From 2019 to 2020, “the percentage of children ages 17 and younger who had a dental examination or cleaning in the past 12 months decreased from 83.8% to 80.9%.”
