Adults With Periodontal Disease Are More Likely To Develop Cardiovascular Disease, Research Indicates
Healio (1/19, Schaffer) reports in continuing coverage that “adults with a recorded diagnosis of a periodontal disease, including gingivitis and periodontitis, are more likely to develop” cardiovascular disease and “other chronic diseases compared with patients without a diagnosis, researchers” found. The findings were published in BMJ Open.
