In a consumer-focused article, HuffPost  (10/29, Frost) said TikTok dental hacks “may end up leading to costly repairs and painful dental procedures, and in some cases, can do irreparable damage.” For instance, the article discussed the risks involved in using a Magic Eraser or charcoal toothpaste to whiten teeth, consuming a large amount of pineapple juice before wisdom teeth removal surgery to prevent swelling, and using glue-based products on teeth.
